Houston City Council Runoffs Come to an End
Houston’s 2019 municipal election was finally settled last night as runoffs for eleven city council races and the mayor’s race came to a close. With roughly 200,000 voters casting their ballots, Mayor Sylvester Turner won reelection with 56% of the vote in Harris County to challenger Tony Buzbee’s 43%.
